Why This Work Matters
Law enforcement continues to evolve, and today’s police leaders are responsible for navigating increasingly complex changes in law, technology, workforce expectations, behavioral health, public-safety threats, community concerns, and professional standards. The decisions they make affect not only their agencies and personnel, but also the people, businesses, and communities that depend on them.
OACP helps ensure Oregon’s law enforcement leaders do not face those responsibilities in isolation. By connecting experience from agencies and communities across the state, the Association helps leaders better understand emerging issues, learn from one another, and consider how decisions made today may affect public safety well into the future.
Many of Oregon’s most difficult public-safety concerns cross jurisdictional, regional, and professional boundaries. OACP provides a trusted statewide forum where those challenges can be examined thoughtfully and where practical, informed approaches can take shape. Supporting OACP helps preserve that collective voice and ensures the Association’s ability to serve as a steady, knowledgeable resource for Oregon’s law enforcement community.
Your Contribution Has Statewide Reach

- Provide training and professional development.
- Conduct legislative and policy analysis.
- Share public-safety research and trusted resources.
- Bring agencies and stakeholders together.
- Respond to new and emerging challenges.
- Strengthen the Association’s long-term ability to serve its members and Oregon communities.

To Oregon Businesses and Community Organization Leaders:
Safe and well-led communities create a stronger environment for families, employees, customers, and local businesses.
Businesses, foundations, and community organizations that support OACP help strengthen the leadership and statewide coordination behind Oregon public safety. Contributions can support OACP’s general mission or, when arrangements are made in advance, may help advance a particular leadership, training, research, or member-resource initiative.
